Across the country, communities are coming together and asking "what's next?" Now more than ever, we must stand tall and demonstrate we will not be intimidated—especially in regards to the fate of our students and classrooms. That is why in the coming weeks we will be announcing our first local chapter of Being Black at School.
Our team is looking for the first five communities who want to start #DoingTheWork.
By starting a BBASxYourCity chapter in your community, you will play a vital role in ensuring classrooms are safe and equitable for Black students and their classmates. Chapters work to provide districts and communities with events and professional development opportunities to help implement programs and training to reduce the effects of systemic racism in schools.
Together, we are fighting for more equitable education. With your help, we can create the change America so desperately needs—igniting a chain reaction that ripples throughout classrooms, neighborhoods, cities, and beyond.
